Brief
The annual Nokia network and mobile phone Christmas party on Thursday 7th December 2006 for 400 guests. An amazing, yet exclusive West End venue was required for a cocktail/champagne reception with substantial canapés. Entertainment had to be a chart topping artist that reflected the Nokia brand and demographic. Objective
The exclusivity and desirability of the venue was crucial in order to guarantee key guests and client attendance. An event concept had to be created to link all areas of the event from design, production, food and drink service through to guest attention and desire management, whilst reflecting Nokia’s dedication to live music. It was also essential to top the success of the same event from the previous year, serving as the fitting epitaph for Nokia’s departing longest-serving marketing manager. Execution
A shortlist of 4 suitable West End venues were offered; Sketch was selected for it’s unique concept and desirability. “Rock ‘n’ Roll glamour” was chosen as the theme that represented Nokia’s dedication to live music and reflected Sketch’s design. On arrival guests felt as if they were at a music festival as the 4 event rooms were themed as different concert areas. The evening opened with Nokia sponsored X-Factor acts, while Jamelia was the headlining act. Pete Tong entertained the crowd into the early hours. Guests who wanted to go “backstage” could visit the Rock ’n’ Roll tattoo artist or chill out in the VIP champagne lounge.
